Jeff is a Partner and Founder of McGinty Road Partners. He is a member of the Investment Team and serves as Chief Investment Officer. Jeff is responsible for overall portfolio management for McGinty Road Partners. He joined Allegiance Financial Group, Inc. (“AFG”) in 2010 as Vice Chairman. Prior to AFG, Jeff served as President of CarVal Investors (formerly Cargill Value Investment) from 1993 to 2008 where he was responsible for all activities in loan portfolio acquisitions, real estate, high yield debt, and special opportunities across the globe. Under Jeff, CarVal Investors grew from less than $100 million to over $10 billion in assets. He joined Cargill in 1981, working in the company’s Strategy and Business Development group. From 1983 to 1993, Jeff held various management positions in Cargill Leasing Corporation and in Cargill’s Value Investment Group. Jeff is a graduate of the University of Wisconsin at Madison with a B.S. in Agricultural Economics and a Master in Finance.

Jim joined McGinty Road Partners in March 2020 as Managing Director, Corporate Credit, and is now a Partner. Jim is focused on sourcing, underwriting and executing corporate credit transactions. He has over 25 years of experience investing in corporate high yield and distressed situations in both North America and Europe. Prior to joining McGinty Road Partners, Jim worked at several institutional investment firms including Cargill Financial Markets Group, EBF & Associates, Castlelake, Pine River Capital Management and most recently Intermarket. He began his career as a Credit Analyst at the Bank of Nova Scotia in 1993. Jim graduated from the University of Wisconsin – River Falls with a B.S. in Economics and a B.S. in Business Administration, and also holds a Master in International Management (MIM) from Thunderbird School of Global Management in Finance and Latin American Studies. Jim is a Chartered Financial Analyst.

John is a Partner and Founder of McGinty Road Partners. He is a member of the Investment Team focused on sourcing, underwriting, and managing investments in Equipment Finance for McGinty Road Partners. John founded Allegiance Financial Group, Inc. (“AFG”) in 2001. Since its founding, AFG has funded over $500 million in transactions to over 1,000 customers throughout the United States. Prior to founding AFG, John served as a Senior Vice President and Product Line Manager from 1998 through 2001 for the Specialty Finance Group of U.S. Bancorp. In this capacity, he had management responsibilities for $500 million in annual originations and a portfolio of 5,000 customers and $1 billion in loans and leases. Prior to U.S Bancorp, John held various marketing and management positions with Cargill’s Financial Markets Group from 1990 to 1998. John is a graduate of the College of St. Thomas with a B.A. in Business Marketing Management.

Bruce joined McGinty Road Partners in April 2022 and is a Managing Director on the investment team. Bruce is exclusively focused on sourcing commercial loan portfolios from a broad network of banking relationships across the US. Prior to joining McGinty Road, he spent eight years at another private credit firm, O’Brien Staley Partners, researching and securing new business and deal flow. Prior to that, Bruce held business development and marketing roles at CSI Financial Services, W Communications, Visteon and CarVal Investors, where he closely worked with many of the McGinty Road team members. Bruce earned his BA in English and Communications from the University of Michigan.

Dave is a Partner and Founder of McGinty Road Partners. He is a member of the Investment Team focused on sourcing, underwriting, and managing investments in Loan Portfolios for McGinty Road Partners. Prior to joining McGinty Road Partners, Dave was a Managing Director at Northeast Bank in Boston where he was responsible for sourcing and structuring commercial loan originations and purchases. Prior to Northeast Bank, he was a Director at CarVal Investors where he was responsible for sourcing and underwriting commercial loan portfolios as well as developing, negotiating, and managing operating partner relationships. Dave began his career as a Senior Business Analyst at McKinsey & Company in New York. Dave graduated Summa Cum Laude from Dartmouth College with an A.B. in Applied Mathematics and also holds an MBA from Harvard Business School.

DJ joined McGinty Road Partners in September 2017 and is a Managing Director on the Investment Team. Prior to joining McGinty Road Partners, he was an Investment Analyst at Värde Partners, where he evaluated high yield and distressed corporate credit opportunities as well as whole loan portfolios. Prior to Värde Partners, DJ was an M&A Analyst at General Mills. DJ began his career as an Investment Banking Analyst at Piper Jaffray. DJ earned his B.S. in Business from the Carlson School of Management at the University of Minnesota. DJ is a Chartered Financial Analyst.

Bret joined McGinty Road Partners in December 2017, and is a Managing Director in Financial Reporting and Operations. Prior to joining McGinty Road Partners, Bret was a Vice President at Northern Trust, Hedge Fund Services where he managed the Controller Group across the United States, Europe and India. Prior to Northern Trust, Hedge Fund Services, Bret was with CarVal Investors as a Senior Operations Analyst and a Business Analyst supporting Asia and the United States. Bret began his career with Carlson Companies as a Senior Auditor. Bret graduated from the University of Minnesota, Carlson School of Management with a B.S. in Accounting, Finance, and Management Information Systems and a Master in Business Administration in Marketing, Leadership, and International Business. He is a CPA (inactive) and a Certified Information System Auditor (CISA, inactive).

Chris joined McGinty Road Partners in March 2023 and is the Director of Accounting and Operations. Prior to joining McGinty Road Partners, Chris was a Controller at CliftonLarsonAllen (CLA) where he managed all aspects of fund administration services, including investment accounting, financial reporting, investor reporting, operations, and relationship management, for six clients and fifteen funds. Prior to CLA, Chris was with Ameriprise as a Senior Manager in Owned Asset Accounting, focusing on accounting and reporting of the Ameriprise-owned derivative instrument portfolio. Chris also has worked at EY (audit), Deephaven Capital Management, and SS&C Technologies in various accounting, operations, and client servicing roles. Chris graduated from Saint John’s University with a BA in Accounting and Business Management.

Jackson Marsh joined McGinty Road Partners in December of 2023 and is an Analyst on the Accounting & Operations Team. Prior to joining McGinty Road Partners, he was an Audit Senior Assistant at Deloitte supporting the energy and manufacturing business lines. Jackson is a graduate of Augustana University of South Dakota-Sioux Falls with BAs in Accounting and Finance and a Master of Public Accountancy.

Mark joined McGinty Road Partners in November 2022. Mark is focused on capital formation and investor relations. Prior to joining McGinty Road, he was Managing Director, Business Development at ArrowMark Partners. Mark also held business development positions at O’Brien-Staley Partners, Black River Asset Management and American Express Asset Management. Mark is a graduate of the University of Wisconsin, Madison and also holds an MBA from the University of Minnesota, Twin Cities. Mark is a CFA Charterholder.

Spencer joined McGinty Road Partners in August 2020 and is an Associate on the Investment Team. Prior to joining McGinty Road Partners, he was an Associate at Wells Fargo Securities - Corporate and Investment Banking where he covered clients in the Technology, Media and Telecom space. At Wells Fargo, Spencer worked on a variety of debt financing transactions across investment grade and non-investment grade borrowers. Spencer earned his B.S. in Finance from University of St. Thomas – Opus College of Business.

Teri joined McGinty Road Partners in September 2017 as Director of Operations. Prior to joining McGinty Road Partners, Teri was a Senior Operations Advisor at CarVal Investors where she was responsible for closing North American and Emerging Markets bank loans, trade claims, and private equity. Prior to CarVal Investors, she was a Merchant at Horizon Milling. Her prior experience includes trading in energy and agricultural commodities. Teri is a graduate of the University of Minnesota with a B.A. in Economics.

Carter Calderon joined McGinty Road Partners in October 2023 and is an Analyst on the Investment Team. Prior to joining McGinty Road Partners, he was an Investment Banking Analyst at Lazard where he covered clients in the Industrials space. Prior to Lazard Carter was with PricewaterhouseCoopers as a Tax Associate supporting the Asset & Wealth Management business. Carter is a graduate of the University of Wisconsin-Madison with a BBA in Accounting and a Master of Accountancy. Carter is a Certified Public Accountant.
